Women 2 Women

Here at Immanuel Baptist Church we want to reach every women in our church. So we have started a mentoring program called Women 2 Women. We are asking every women at Immanuel to be involved. In Titus 2:3-5 God tells us to advice our younger women.  

The older women likewise, that they be reverent in behavior, not slanders, not given to much wine, teachers of good things- that they admonish the young women to love their husbands, to love their children, to be discreet, chaste, homemakers, good, obedient to their own husbands, that the word of God may not be blasphemed. Titus 2:3-5

We are asking that you pray about this. You should recieve a letter in mail in a few a days. If you do not please contact one of the following Vicki Pyles, Kay Morton, Tracy Bender, Melanie Harris, and Ila Skelton. Below is our vision and some rules. Hope you will join us this new adventure God has in store for us. 

Our Vision:

To build relationships with every woman at Immanuel Baptist Church based on our obedience to Christ and Christian example by strengthening and encouraging each other through prayer, love, accountability, and giving of ourselves. 

Our Rules:

• Be actively involved to someone for six months
• Willing to commit to protégé
• Report back experience
• Be flexible to change protégé's
• Pray whom God would have you mentor

Women’s Ministry of Immanuel Baptist Church

The Women’s Ministry of Immanuel Baptist Church endeavors to

encourage the spiritual growth of all women and to come alongside in

ministering to the needs of the women of our church and community.

Our programs seek to reach women of all age groups through

Annual events such as:

--Hat Luncheon- a great time to show off your individual flair while

receiving God’s word.

--Salad Luncheon- this summertime fellowship of food and fun is a

great time to grow close to our sisters in Christ

--Cookie Exchange- Exchanging recipes, and making trays of cookies

for gifts during this Holy season

--Fall retreat- a time to pull away from the everyday pressures and

get filled up and reenergized to serve our Lord.

--Book Club- although this event is in it’s infancy the participation has

been lively as we discuss and review books related to our Christian

life and walk

Our women also participate in Women’s Ministry activities and events

sponsored by other local churches.

Every woman, from young to mature is encouraged to bring ideas

and service opportunities and ultimately become engaged as they

listen and grow in God’s will.

Womens Fitness Activities

We know from God’s word that we are fearfully and wonderfully

made, that our bodies are temples and that the Proverbial

woman girds herself with strength, and strengthens her arms.

 Here at Immanuel, we offer fitness classes on Tuesday and Thursday evenings at 5:45pm. Presently we do not offer childcare, but teens are encouraged to join the class.

The class incorporates cardiac, lightweight training, and flexibility

training. It is designed for all fitness levels with a high and a low

impact version shown.

By staying strong and fit we honor our Lord and stay fit for the service he has designed for each of us.
